Senior Sermon: Tzipporah at Sinai
On January 31, 2019, I delivered my senior sermon on the importance and normalcy of non-Jews in Jewish community since biblical times.
In this sermon, I argued that HUC-JIR’s policy that did not allow rabbinic and cantorial students to be in committed, long-term relationships with non-Jews was wrong and needed to be changed.
I am very happy to say that HUC-JIR finally announced their intention to do away with the policy on June 20th, 2024.
